Go to hell, water!

Check that out, it's a samsung d415. I've been waiting all week for it to arrive and it just it here. This is the story. I got it in the mail and happily tore through the packaging. I grab a charges then plug it in. I sit there and stare at for a minute or so. Nothing. No light, no blinking, no signs of life. So i decide to take it apart. Upon doing so, i'm met with a grotesque sight. The mainboard of the phone appeared to be moderately corroded. I run down to the local cvs and purchase a bottle of isopropyl alcohol. With a toothbrush dipped in the solution, i carefully scrub at the phone's mainboard hoping that there might still have a chance. Using a hairdryer, i dry any remaining alcohol from the phone's board. I snap the case back together and replace the screws. The moment of truth... I plug it into the charger. At first, nothing, but suddenly th keypad lights up! I jump up happily only to have my momentary elation quashed when the lights go out. I quickly remove the charger and reconnect it once again. No dice. It seems that the phone is dead. :(

Deep fried goodness

Hey everyone! I haven't been posting as much as i did before. I've been a bit busier, but guess what! I can drive! Woohoo! Ok, well this picture here is showing off one of my new favorite appliances. It's a deep fryer. Now i can make french fries, chicken nuggets, and all sorts of delicious goodies just like at restaurants. I just cooked chicken nuggets and they're deliciously crispy. Ok, well that's all for now. Time to munch. Yummy. :)

Watch out for the onion steam!

Hey, is me and i just had a meal at benihana. Well, i'm still in the restaurant. The food is great and they cook right in front of you! If you look at that picture you'll see our chef, romeo, who made a tower from an onion slice then poured some water into it while still on the grill. The results, as you can see, is a steady stream of steam escaping through the top. The effect is amazing and it looks pretty sweet. :)

New york! New york!

Good morning everyone! Can anyone guess where i am? If anyone said the bus station, then you'd be right! We're here because some of our relatives are here visiting from canada. It's a decent bus ride, not too long, but not quick, so i'll be able to blog a bit. Depends on whether i see anything interesting, but we'll see. About 1/2 an hour before it's time to leave!

Treat food with respect and it'll smile at you

Look at that picture. Can you guess what it is? It's mashed potatoes, which i had for lunch earlier today. The smiley face wasn't intentional. This is how it went, i was gently dribbling gravy onto the mashed potatoes when i realized it made an interesting image. At the time, the only thing missing was a mouth, so i added one (fine, part of it was deliberate. Lol.). The marie potatoes were a supplement to the main dish, which was pork chops and rice. It was a good lunch. I'm my having chicken teriyaki for dinner. I love food. :)

The beauty of nature

Hello everyone. It's a nice day out today. Maybe a little warm, but definitely nice. I'm out walking dc right now and we just ran into another dog. His name was cosmo and dc seemed to like him. We're not on our way back home and it's nice to see the sun light everything up so nicely. The colors in the flowers just pop and it seems like there could be nothing wrong in a world so beautiful. Unfortunately, appearances aren't always reality, but we can control our realities to an extent, right?

Fractured... :(

See that little line by the menu button? Looks like i cracked my phone's screen. Well, not the screen itself, but the plastic cover that protects it. Pretty much all phones have this sort of arrangement. They have the actual lcd, which shows the pictures, and they have what's called the lens, which is the plastic or glass part that covers the lcd. This helps to keep the lcd (important part) protected and scratch free. The lens is a very cheap and easy part to replace, so i'll probably be placing an order soon. :)

El oh el. Such a diminutive little car.

Pulled into the mercedes benz dealership for service and saw 2 of these in the service garage. Interesting little cars that have been sold in europe for years, but have just arrive stateside this year. This car company goes by the name of Smart and the particular vehicle you're looking at is under the model designation of ForTwo, because of it's ability to only carry 2 passengers at a time. I'm sitting in one right now and it's interesting. Feels much bigger than the size suggests. An interesting car. I think i want one just for how different it is.

Sony ericsson and t-mobile back together?! This is a dream come true!

Do you see that?! Maybe it's a bit hard to see, but it's a sony ericsson mobile with t-mobile branding! Looks like it'll be called the sony ericsson tm506, which on the outside looks like the sony ericsson z780. This is perfect, my favorite service provider and my favorite phone manufacturer. Just so you know, the last sony ericsson phone to be sold at t-mobile was the t610, which was a great phone, but sold about 5 years ago. Let's hope this comes out soon, as i'm due for an upgrade. Hehe. :)
BTW - Just wanted to add that this information is courtesy of Engadget.com, one of the best tech blogging sites I've found. :)
It never hurts to look up

Look at that. You'd agree that its nice, wouldn't you? With todays world, withs modern day inconveniences and distractions, you can sometimes forget to stop and just look at the things around you. Cellphones, computers, mp3 players, and who knows what else all help us forget about the things around us. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of us don't really take the time to take in the beauty of nature. Hopefully, it doesn't continue on like this.

Cook you up in a vat of beef stew!

Look what i found? Another drawing that emily and i drew! This one is different from the others in that it doesn't involve something falling down a series of sloping shelves. This drawing is about snakes, venus fly traps, giant flies, witches, sharks, motor cycle jumping through a hoop of fire, and a slide which leads to your death. Look at the picture to see how all of this stuff relates to one another. This is one of my favorites by far.
I'm actually posting from the computer!
Ok, this is gonna be one of those "can you guess who this is" thing...
1.) Bananas - Mamie (Guessed by Mamie)
2.) Chines - Allyson (Guessed by Allyson)
3.) Nickname hater - Tara (Guessed by Allyson)
4.) Chains - Michelle (Guessed by Allyson)
5.) Lady - Shayna (Guessed by Allyson)
6.) Monster (The Engergy Drink) - Brad (Guessed by Allyson)
7.) Orange peels - Emily (Guessed by Allyson)
8.) Australia - Greg (Guessed by Michelle)
9.) Berries - Melanie (Guessed by Allyson)
Can anyone guess who these things refer to?
Leave your guesses in the comments and I'll update them as people get them.

When sharks take the cars

Here's another one of the drawings emily and i drew in large group. This one is very car centric with killer airplanes, crazy tow truck drivers, evil birds, shark cars, sharks eating cars, kung fu people fighting on top of a truck, just hung newly weds to provide entertainment for children as pinatas, and other things. Just look at the picture, it was hilarious to make.
Suicidal squirrels with bombs strapped to their chests!

Here's a picture of a cartoon emily and i drew in large group history. It's one out of several, so there'll be more soon. This note involves people getting run over by oversized bowling balls, suicida bomber squirrels, giant flies, alligators, and sacrificial offerings to the volcano gods. Hope you enjoy it as much as we had making it. :)

Paranoia is just being more careful
Am i paranoid? I left my bedroom window open while i was downstairs, so upon returning to my room, i began to search every little nook and cranny i could find. I went through my closet twice looking behind the clothes, on the shelf up top, and behind a rack for miscellaneous stuff. I then started checking under my bed on both sides and lifted it to be sure that it weighed about right. Afterwards i checked behind my tv and proceeded to check all the other rooms on the second floor of the house in roughly the same manner. Would you think that this makes me paranoid? I think i'd just classify it as being careful.
Microsoft Vista Home Premium: EPIC FAIL!
Shows what emily does at school...
For $15, it's pretty hot.
I don't know why, but i do...
Someone was hungry...
I got a title, and so can you!
Can mobile blog uploads have a title? I think so. Just put your desired title as the messages subject and upload it. That easy. :)
I live on the West coast, but go to school on the east?
Hey everyone, the times on my posts bre wrong - just to let you know. It looks like i'm set to pacific time... Anyone know how to change it?
UPDATE: Nevermind, I found it...
PAPARAZZI ARE COMING!
Do you know what i hate? That faux shutter sound that goes off when you take a picture with any digital camera. Well, not really the regular cameras, but cellphones. It seems like the manufacturer puts in several different obnoxious sounds and have them set to the highest volume level. It's even worse that only some phones have the option to silence the sound entirely, others can only silence them in silent mode, and others can't silence them at all. Here's a picture of some of the no way to silence the camera offenders. I need to get better descriptions... Lol.
UPDATE: Turns out, the Sony Ericsson Z610i (shiny one on the far right) silences the shutter sound when you put it in silent mode. BTW, I'm not against SE's - They're actually my favorite brand - these phones just happened to be the ones I had at the time.
One more test before going to bed. Good night to everyone reading!
